On December 23, “Year-End Christmas Party 2024” was held by students of Komachi Kai, a women's student group, and Ciao, an international exchange club.
A total of 50 students (Japanese and international students)attended this event. The event was conducted in both English and Japanese, and mixed teams of Japanese and international students enjoyed playing traditional Japanese games.
In addition, a presentation on Japanese culture was given by a representative student of the Komachi-kai on Japanese Christmas, year-end and New Year's events and customs such as traditional customs of year-end house cleaning activities, New Year’s traditional decorations and food. The international students listened with great interest to the introduction of Japanese culture unique to this time of year.
The international students also shared their home countries' Christmas customs with the Japanese students.
Through this event, students from different cultures were able to interact with each other, deepen their understanding, and build friendship.
