Pre-Departure Information | Hiroshima University of Economics (HUE)

Notification of admittance to the Short-Term Exchange Program will be sent to each international　student advisor as well as to the students.
HUE will prepare and submit “application for Certificate of Eligibility” to the Immigration Office in Hiroshima. Once the Immigration Office issues your “Certificate of Eligibility”, we will mail it with your “Matriculation Certificate” so you can apply for your visa to Japan at the nearest Japanese Embassy or Consulate in your area. Please consult the Japanese Embassy or Consulate for any additional documents needed for your visa application.

We ask you to arrive to Hiroshima during the designated period – normally about one week before the start of each semester to be in time for orientation program. Those arriving at Hiroshima Airport or Hiroshima Station (Train) will be picked up by the HUE staff. When you have your flight schedule, please let us know your flight schedule.

*from Narita Airport – about 5 hours 30 minutes by train, or take a direct flight (daily) between
    Narita- Hiroshima in the evening (arrival into Hiroshima at around 7:00pm). Another option would
     be taking a shuttle bus (about 1 hour) from Narita to Haneda Airport, and take a domestic flight to
     Hiroshima.
   *from Kansai Osaka Airport – about 2 hours 30 minutes by Shinkansen.
